There is lots to do in Stockport over the next few days.

It's a busy day for Bramhall on Saturday 11th, with both an international market and a visit from a historical re-enactment troupe taking place; the former in Village Square, and the latter at Bramall Hall. However, given the close proximity, why not call at both?

Note that the re-enactors will return to Bramall Hall on Sunday!

And in the evening, keep your eyes peeled on your favourite Stockport locals in case they're showing Eurovision!

Rounding off the weekend on Sunday, Canadian indie artist St Arnaud will head to Marple for a live performance at The Strines Nightingale.

This special event in the centre of Bramhall Village celebrates the world's tastiest food, made fresh locally. Taste produce from Turkey, Japan, Jamaica, Sweden, Macedonia and more, as well as British flavours. Hot food will be on offer from cafes and restaurants including Polish Honeypot Caffe and Mediterranean Amici's.

There's also a mix of crafts, gifts, homeware, gardenware and much more. 40+ traders.

The event will run from 10am-3pm.

A spot of time travel is in store for Bramhall.

On the weekend of 11-12 May this year, Bramall Hall will host The 1635 Household, a group specialising in portrayal of life during the reign of King Charles I (1625-49).

Visitors of all ages are welcome, and can expect to see carefully-researched costumes and museum-quality item replicas.

The aim is to create an immersive experience through 'interpretive history' - for some, a much more effective and tangible method of learning about the past.

Canadian indie-pop artist St Arnaud is swapping the land of the Maple leaf for the land of Marple, for an appearance at The Strines Nightingale on Sunday 12 May.

Doors open at 6pm, and tickets are £11. Find tickets HERE.

A description for this event reads: "Hailing from Edmonton, Canada, Ian St.Arnaud, more popularly known as the frontman of St.Arnaud.

"Through the new album, St.Arnaud continues to showcase the band's penchant for crafting downtrodden songs with happy melodies. Their true talent is delving into themes of heartache, self-reflection, and grief, all while providing us with catchy hooks and upbeat tracks."
