A Football Odyssey - in conversation with Rob Potts | Serenity Booksellers (Stockport) | Thu 25 June | 6.30pm

Join Serenity Booksellers in Stockport on Thursday 25th June to celebrate the release of Rob Potts' A Football Odyssey - a new football book written by fans for fans.
In the book, Rob travels the five continents looking at how over 80 clubs have transformed their communities and highlightling the history, politics and passion that fans around the world have for the beautiful game. The talk will be followed by an audience Q&A and book signing.

From Screen to Stage | Heald Green Theatre | Thu 25 - Sat 27 June

Join Alderley Edge and Wilmslow Musical Theatre Company for an exploration into shows that started life on the big screen, and were then adapted to be a stage musical.
Blending songs and dances from well-loved musicals, Screen to Stage will feature well-known songs, new songs, firm favourites, and a chance for the AWMTC cast to show you what they can do!

Foodie Friday | Stockport Market Place / Underbanks | Fri 26 June | 6-9pm

Stockport's best night out returns this week with Jumping June Foodie Friday.
Choose from an incredible line-up of 26 street food traders in Stockport Market including three brand new traders - Spice Bag, showcasing the popular delicacy from Ireland, Bite of Taiwan featuring authentic Taiwanese street food and Oppa Kitchen bring their Korean-style corn dogs to Foodie Friday.
In the Market Hall there is a great range of stalls selling food and drink - Sticky Fingers, O'Briens Oysters, The Oak Tree Cafe and Corner Bar, The Candyshack and The Ice Bar and Auntie Lou's. There's free art engagement for the children with Art by Earl and Ohana Theatre and Emily Flanagan aka @flazzle will be drawing her quick-fire portraits.
If you fancy a spot of retail therapy, check out the regular market stalls including Kate O'Brien Art, Butterfly and Bee, The Pet Grocer, The Crooked Hat and Dreamcatcher. There's always a great line-up of live local music which this month features a host of young talent including singer and guitarist Callum Buckley, solo singers from Bramall High School and to end the evening Notice band.
Down on Great Underbank, enjoy a chilled out vibe with a performance from the Marple-based Take Note Choir. You can also grab some delicious pizza slices from Gatto at The Underbank and sample freshly cooked meats at the White Lion's BBQ.
