Stockport Beer and Cider Festival | Stockport Masonic Guildhall | Thu 18 - Sun 21 June

The much-loved CAMRA Beer and Cider festival is making a welcome return to Stockport this June.
The festival, which is run by Stockport and South Manchester CAMRA volunteers, will return to the Masonic Guildhall from 18-20 June, in what will be its 38th iteration.
This time there will be around 280 beers, ciders and perrys, all sourced from independent producers; many are local - others come from exciting international locations such as Krakow, Barcelona, Stavanger and more.
Lots of the drinks across all bars are suitable for vegans and vegetarians, and some are also gluten-free.
Further still, as well as the drinks, there will be live entertainment, food, pub games, traders, a family area, and even a colouring competition for young people (the best entry will win a £50 voucher from the Stockport-based Almond Pub Group, plus a case of beer for the grown-ups).
The music has been sourced by Stockport Music Story - among the performers are the Stockport Ukulele Band, Blind Tiger, 90 Proof, and New Rose. Rounding off proceedings on Saturday are The Tall Faces featuring special guest Pete Maclaine, whose band toured with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones.
Festival organiser Jim Flynn said "Thanks to all our volunteers and sponsors, we are once again able to present the biggest selection of beer, ciders and perries in the North West here in Stockport. The festival has something for everyone to enjoy, so please come and join us for some midsummer madness. "
Entrance is free for CAMRA members, but to claim this, tickets must be booked in advance. For further information on brewers, entertainment, buying tickets and more, visit the Stockport Beer and Cider festival website.

Sicilian Summer Printmaking Workshop | Pink! | Sat 20 June | 10am-12pm

Join us for a thoughtfully curated, workshop where printmaking becomes a process of exploration, presence, and personal expression.
Guided through a carefully composed still life we will teach you the techniques that will inspire the essence of a Sicilian Summer, with these tools you will go onto explore print with repeat pattern making and citrus botanicals to bring that pop of Sicily to your prints.
Utilising relief printmaking techniques to create a repeat pattern, this will form the back drop to your Sicilian citrus centre piece.
Materials and mediums will be supplied to allow each artist to fully encompass their individual interpretations.
No one canvas will be the same as you learn to use the tools and techniques which can be developed into your own personal piece.
Through step-by-step guidance, each artist will be supported in learning the technical processes while being encouraged to experiment freely.
You'll be invited to respond intuitively, allowing your unique perspective to unfold through layered prints and evolving imagery.
This workshop balances structure with creative freedom, creating space for both skill-building and soulful exploration. You'll leave with a collection of artworks and a final piece that will reflect your individual printmaking journey and your time spent creating with us at Sketch Events & Socials—grounded, inspired, and creatively fulfilled.
