Grease! theme night for Prevent Breast Cancer | Heald Green Social Club | Friday 25 April | 7pm

Enjoy a jam-packed night of music, bingo, dancing, and much more at this Grease! theme night in support of Prevent Breast Cancer.

A description for this event reads: "Peter Roberts, Peter Connolly and the committee would like to invite you all to a Night of Grease!

"All proceeds will go to Prevent Breast Cancer.

"Fancy dress is optional, but all to dress in pink to keep theme going. Bottle of pink fizz for best dressed pink lady. Musical bingo, quiz, raffle, dance night away with the Amazing DJ Smithy.

"Please come and support such a worthy cause to help spread awareness, raise money and save lives."

Day of Dance | Stockport town centre | Sat 26 April | 10.15am - 4.30pm

More than 1,000 Morris Dancers are heading to Stockport on Saturday 26 April.

From 10.15am-4.30pm, the town will be transformed as it hosts the 'National Day of Dance' attracting Morris dancers from across the country.

This 'unmissable' event will be the biggest of its kind.

A lineup has now been announced, for what promises to be "the biggest, boldest and most bell-clanging gathering the North West has ever seen".

On the day, visitors can expect street performances, jam sessions and even dance offs at key locations around the town centre.

Rounding off the day in true folk-style, there will also be an unmissable free Ceilidh at St Mary's Church, featuring a live folk band, pop-up craft beer bar and delicious street food.  

Ghost UK (Ghost BC tribute) | Holy Diver | Sat 26 April | 5pm (doors) 7.30pm (show starts)

Did you miss Ghost at the AO Arena?

Fear not - you can catch the next best thing in Stockport.

Ghost UK will be performing at Holy Diver on Saturday 26 April. Doors open from 5pm.

The show starts at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £5.42 (including booking fee).

Aziz Ibrahim (w/ support from Needla and The Silent Echoes | The Spinning Top | 4pm (doors) 5.30pm (show starts)

Catch renowned guitarist Aziz Ibrahim at The Spinning Top on Sunday 27 April.

A description for this event reads: "Aziz Ibrahim is a Manchester-born guitarist celebrated for his unique fusion of rock, blues, and Eastern musical influences.

"Drawing on his Pakistani heritage, his playing weaves traditional scales and rhythms into the fabric of modern rock, creating a distinctive sound that sets him apart."

There's also support from:

NEDELA - a double fem fronted new generation Stockport band with a set of mostly funk / soul tinged covers.

THE SILENT ECHOES - A young Stockport indie rock band with a mixture of covers and high quality original material.

Doors are 4pm - the show takes place from 5.30-8.30pm.

Sunday Special (Indian menu) | Turmeric Twist, Bramhall | Sun 27 April

Catch a unique Sunday Specials menu at Turmeric Twist.

As well as the usual favourites on their classic menu, you can also choose from a specials menu.

The specials menu is available on every second and last Sunday of the month. It means that every time you visit, there's the chance of trying something new.

For example, with warmer months approaching, you can expect delicious dishes like pani puri, dahi puri, and samosa chaat - all of which are perfect for the heat.
