Series two of Stockport-based sitcom Daddy Issues has received strong critical acclaim after hitting the airwaves this November.
The series, set and filmed in Stockport, follows young mum Gemma (Aimee Lou Wood) as she navigates parenthood.
The town's TV appearance has been warmly praised by critics, with five-star reviews and a warm reception from fans.
Sarah Dempster at The Guardian praised the show for its "sublime one-liners, acerbic wit, daftness, love and joy", and awarded it a five-star rating.
"Here, amid the incessant rat-tat-tat of sublime one-liners, is a comedy with enormous affection for its characters", Dempster said.
"For all their buffoonery, these are complex and believable souls. Not that its softer bits are ever mawkish, mind. Nor is there ever the sense that its trickier themes (fractured families, young motherhood) are being shoehorned in to Generate Debate® or to #make_u_think."
Hello magazine's Nicky Morris similarly writes: "The easy chemistry between Wood and Morrissey is what makes this heartwarming comedy so lovable.
"The award-winning actors really are a winning duo in this relatable, funny and moving portrayal of the realities of unexpected parenthood."
Meanwhile, Benji Wilson at The Telegraph gave the show four stars.
Created by Danielle Ward, the show also stars David Morrissey, Jill Halfpenny, Taj Atwal, Sharon Rooney, and Derek Fynn.
Series two picks up the story of Gemma as she lives with her 'exasperating' mother Davina.
Frustrated, she tries to ger her dad Malcolm to move back into the flat.
