A talented young illustrator from Stockport has had his artwork featured on this year's official Stockport Council Christmas cards.
Clayton, a SEND student from Castle Hill High School, created a festive scene of Stockport's viaduct.
His design will feature on the front cover of council leader Mark Roberts' 2025 Christmas card.
Clayton said he felt 'famous' to have his artwork featured on the cards.
"I see the Viaduct when I go out in Stockport so I wanted to draw it", he explained.
Inside the card, Cllr Roberts thanked Clayton and highlighted Castle Hill High School's outstanding support for students with complex and specific needs.
Cllr Roberts said: "This year's Christmas card is a real testament to the talent and creativity nurtured in our SEND schools.
"After meeting Clayton in person, it was a real honour to talk to this remarkable teenager about his design.
"Stockport is proud to have such amazing schools that provide exceptional opportunities for children and young adults.
"We are equally proud of our continued investment in new schools and expanded places as we strive to ensure every child has access to high-quality education. Our commitment to SEND being everyone's business remains at the heart of what we do."
Since 2020, Stockport council has invested in schools that support students with special educational needs. This includes Pear Tree School in Cheadle Hulme and Lisburne school.
These investments are made in the aim that children across Stockport can access the educational support they need closer to home.
The design by Clayton was also submitted to the 'Beautiful Things' exhibition held at the War Memorial Gallery until March 15th 2026.
