Scouting event for talented young female footballers to take place in Stockport
Are you a teacher, coach, or parent and think you have found the next Beth Mead?
Cheshire FA, in partnership with England Football, is inviting registrations for the 'Future Lionesses' observation events for Cheshire, during summer 2023.
The Stockport observation event will take place on Sunday 9 July at Laurus, Cheadle Hulme, and is aimed at unearthing the next generation of lionesses.
The event is free of charge, and will include one and a half hours of technical games and activities designed to unearth and identify talent.
According to Cheshire FA: "Our aim is to encourage girls to attend who may not have had access via traditional pathways."
The event is aimed at girls born between 2008 and 2011, who play in mixed football or live in selected postcodes from under-represented areas.
Cheshire FA adds: "Our aim is to ensure we supply England teams with the quality and depth of players to enable England to win a major tournament.
"In pursuit of this ambition, we're leaving no stone unturned when it comes to finding future talent across England."
Coaches and clubs, volunteers, match officials, teachers or anyone else working with young players who see potential are encouraged to put forward their promising footballers.
The parent or carer of the player need only fill in the event registration form found on the Cheshire FA site.
Places are limited, and applications close on 4 July. As well as the event in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire FA is also hosting an event on Saturday 8 July in Ellesmere Port, Vauxhall Motors Football Club.
The application form, along with further details, can be found on the relevant Cheshire FA webpage HERE.
