School uniform returns to Stockport Merseyway Centre

A popular school uniform shop has re-opened temporarily in Stockport's Merseyway centre this summer.
It's be open from Friday 8 August until Friday 15 August in Merseyway's Pop-Up shop, offering all items for just 50p a piece.
The aim is to make it as easy and cheap as possible for families to "kit out their children ahead of the new school year without breaking the bank".
On offer are uniforms from Stockport-based schools, as well as a few others from further afield.
The stock comes mostly from donations - in July, Merseyway encouraged families to donate any unwanted uniforms in good condition so they can be resold.
Best of all, the proceeds raised from sales will go towards two local charities; Chelwood Foodbank Plus, and arts organisation Stockport ARC Centre.
Victoria Nichol, Centre Manager at Merseyway, described it as "a simple way for the community to come together and make a difference".
She added: "Whether that's by donating items they no longer need, picking up affordable school essentials, or helping to reduce clothing waste in Stockport."
