Romiley’s Forum Theatre sets out programme of events after re-opening

Having re-opened last month, Romiley's Forum Theatre has now set out its programme of events for the coming months. 

The theatre was forced to close from September last year following revised guidance on reinforced autoclaved aerated concrete (RAAC). 

It re-opened on 20 June, after repairs had been carried out on the dangerous concrete.

Some event highlights over the coming months include:

July 2024:

  • 5 July: Best Of The West End (cabaret, musical)
  • 13 July: Dance Extravaganza 2024 (dance showcase)
  • 21 July: Sharp Arts Showcase (dance showcase)
  • 27-28 July: HArts presents – Weekend At The Musicals (cabaret, musical)

August 2024:

  • 1-4 August: Sleeping Beauty (pantomime)
  • 3 August: 60 Years of Musical Theatre (cabaret) and Queen Rocks (tribute acts)

September 2024:

  • 13 September: Let's Rock This Country with Shania and Friends (tribute act)
  • 15 September: SWIFT and STYLES – The Live Tribute Show
  • 18 September: Shaun Ryder – Happy Mondays and Fridays and Saturdays and Sundays (special event)
  • 20 September: Oasis Supernova Live (tribute act)
  • 21 September: Everything Changes – Take That Tribute Show
  • 25-28 September: Bad Girls The Musical 

October 2024:

  • 3 October: Kerry Ellis – Queen of the West End (special event)
  • 10 October: Cats in Space Kickstart The Sun Tour 2023 (live music)
  • 11 October: Killer Rhapsody A Night of Queen (tribute act)
  • 25-26 October: The Rock 'N' Horror Graveyard Show (cabaret, comedy, live music, musical)

Darren Stannage, company manager at The Forum, said: "We are delighted to welcome our community back to The Forum Theatre with a line-up that truly offers something for everyone.

"Our reopening was a resounding success, and we are excited to continue this momentum with a diverse array of performances."
