Stockport's Robinsons brewery has re-opened the Farmers Arms pub in nearby Poynton following an extensive refurbishment.
The pub, in the words of a Robinsons spokesperson, has undergone a "show-stopping glow-up".
The theme of the pub has been modernised, and now has a mid-century design, replete with abstract artwork, modernist decor, and three new outdoor 'party huts'.
Even the model of Daisy the Cow - well-known to locals - has had a colourful makeover. The pub even hosted a competition to rename Daisy, with some suggesting Butty; named after a local who would frequent the Farmers Arms regularly.
Speaking of the refurbishment as a whole, Robinsons said: "The pub has said goodbye to the nods to agriculture and farming and hello to a sophisticated day to night venue."
The statement adds: "The Robinsons operations and design team saw an opportunity in the Cheshire village to modernise the venue and create an upmarket all day drinking and dining bar and restaurant."
You can find the Farmers Arms at 90 Park Lane, Poynton, Stockport SK12 1RE.
