Reddish man charged with sexual assault and other offences following 'suspicious' incidents

A Reddish man has been charged in connection with 'suspicious' incidents at retail stores in Macclesfield and Handforth.
William Kidd was arrested on Friday, October 3, after he attended Macclesfield Police Station.
The 26-year-old has since been charged with four counts of sexual assault on a female, one count of use of threatening and abusive language with intent to cause alarm and distress, and one count of recording an image under clothing without consent.
The charges relate to incidents which occurred between July 17 and August 8 in Macclesfield, Handforth, Denton, Stockport and Stanley Green.
He was also charged with possession of an offensive weapon and possession of a class B drug, namely cannabis.
Kidd, of Stanbank Street, South Reddish, has been remanded in police custody and is set to appear at Chester Magistrates Court today (Monday 6 October).
