On the weekend of 13-14 May, Bramall Hall will host The 1635 Household, a costumed history interpretation group.
The re-enactors specialise in the portrayal of domestic life during the reign of King Charles I (1625-49).
Visitors can expect to learn about what life was like for a gentry family in a house like Bramall, in a painstakingly researched, interactive event, suitable for all the family.
Stockport Nub News spoke to the group, who have worked with English Heritage, The National Trust, museums, and local government educational departments.
They told us: "At Stockport's Bramall Hall on 13-14th May, come along and meet 17th Century re-enactors, The 1635 Household.
"Learn all about domestic life for a wealthy gentry family, their friends, servants and visitors during the reign of King Charles I.
"This event will be a fascinating glimpse into the past, and a fun, enlightening and interactive day out for all the family.
"The Household features music, period food, authentic trades and a wealth of detail about life in England before the English Civil War."
Each member of the group wears a carefully researched costume, and uses museum-quality reproduction artefacts, which visitors are encouraged to interact with and learn from.
Experience the past brought to life with all its sights, sounds and smells in this immersive event.
