'Rapidly-growing' company moves into Stockport Exchange
By Alasdair Perry 27th Apr 2026
A rapidly-growing company has moved into a 11,000 sq ft office at Stockport Exchange.
Ripe, a lifestyle and business insurance company, will move into a new base at One Stockport Exchange, supporting 150 staff members.
Ripe's chief executive Alan Thomas said the move was a 'logical next step' from their previous offices at The Royals in Sharston.
The company offers insurance for specialist hobbies and enterprises - think musicians, photographers, golfers, and much more.
Chief executive Alan Thomas said: "Greater Manchester has always been central to our story.
"It's where we were founded, where we've built our culture, and where we continue to find exceptional talent.
"Moving to Stockport Exchange is a natural next step for us. It gives us the space and infrastructure to scale our digital-first model, invest further in our technology, and create high-quality jobs in the region.
"At Ripe, we protect the hobbies, interests and passions that people really care about – whether that's in their personal or professional lives.
"We're excited to find a new home in Stockport which also has a rich cultural history in music and sport."
