Greater Manchester Police has said officers are working tirelessly to find a missing man who was last seen on 9 December.

Police are still looking for Alistair, also known as Alec, who was last seen in Queens Gardens in Cheadle over a month ago.

Alec is described as a white male, approximately 5ft10in, with a medium build, blue eyes, and a bald head.

He was last seen wearing a light brown jacket with a fur inner, a brown hoodie, blue jeans and brown shoes.

Officers say they are 'concerned' for him, and want to make sure he is safe and well.

Police have been conducting house to house enquiries in Alec's local area, as well as carrying out searches in Woodland using dogs.

Detective Inspector Craig Turner from the criminal Investigation Department, Stockport District, said: "This past month since Alec has been missing, we have been working tirelessly to locate him and make sure he is safe and well.

"We are doing comprehensive house to house enquiries with Neighbourhood officers in Alec's local area and distributing leaflets with Alec's image on, along with information regarding the last time he was seen.

"We have teams with trained dogs searching woodland alongside our Tactical Aid Unit (TAU) and we have exhausted every line of enquiry, but unfortunately no one has seen Alec since he was recorded on CCTV in Queens Gardens on 9 December 2025.

"If anyone has any information on Alec's whereabouts, please get in touch with us."

Anybody with information which could help find Alec should call 101, quoting log number 1921 of 18th December 2025.
