Police are appealing for information to help identify a boy who was seen with a large hunting knife in Stockport town centre (Image - GMP)

Police are looking to find a teenage boy who was spotted with a blade in Stockport town centre.

Greater Manchester Police is appealing for the public's help to identify the boy, who was seen around 2pm on 5 August 2026 outside the Merseyway Shopping Centre.

Police first saw the boy smoking cannabis.

When an officer approached, the boy dropped a large hunting-type knife.

Anyone with information is urged to call police on 101, quoting the log CRI/06JJ/0014906/26.
