Police are appealing for information following a serious road traffic collision in Brinnington yesterday (Tuesday 27 February).

The collision occurred around 9.20am on Hereford Road; a car collided with a motorbike, unseating the rider.

An air ambulance was called to the scene.

The rider sustained serious injuries - details of their current condition have not been revealed.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) are appealing for anybody with information to come forward - this includes witnesses, or anybody with dashcam footage.

GMP said in a statement: "Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4741, quoting log 710 of 27/02/2024.

"Information can also be shared on our website: www.gmp.police.uk.

"Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity - Crimestoppers - anonymously on 0800 555 111."
