Police are appealing for information following a collision between a can and a motorcycle on Offerton Road on Sunday 7 April.

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to the scene at 3.30pm yesterday (7 April). No arrests have been made at this stage, GMP says.

The motorcyclist - a 33-year-old man - was taken to hospital with serious injuries, but they are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers from GMP's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward. This includes anybody with dashcam or mobile phone footage from the area, in the moments leading up to the collision.

GMP said: "Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4741 quoting log number 1926 of 07/04/24.

"Information can also be shared using our LiveChat function on our website: www.gmp.police.uk

"Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity - Crimestoppers - anonymously on 0800 555 111."
