Outstanding small businesses across Stockport are being celebrated in a new awards ceremony.

The Stockport Small Business Saturday Awards, launched by Stockport MP Navendu Mishra, invites residents to vote for their favourite businesses across the Stockport constituency and put them in with a chance of winning an accolade.

The awards work very simply - just go to this form and type in your favourite business from each part of the Stockport constituency: Stockport town centre, Brinnington, Reddish, Edgeley, the Heatons, and Davenport & Cale Green.

Participants get one vote per area.

A shortlist will be produced out of these nominees, then the final winner will be announced on 5 December.

Navendu Mishra said: "Small businesses are the backbone of Stockport's economy and I want to celebrate their contribution to our communities.

"There are so many hubs of great businesses in our town. From Castle Street in Edgeley to Bramhall Lane in Davenport, Broadstone Road and Reddish Road, to Heaton Moor Road, I am proud to represent a thriving network of small businesses."

Once again, you can nominate your favourite businesses here.
