New Barclays bank to open in Stockport Merseyway centre on site of former YMCA shop

A new Barclays bank is opening in Stockport's Merseyway centre.

The bank will be based in the covered mall, on the site of what was formerly the YMCA charity shop, which closed on Friday 29 May.

The new Barclays is expected to be open from Monday to Saturday from 9am-5.30pm.

It would feature an ATM placed just outside, and a range of facilities inside: this includes private consulting offices, a waiting area, and staff rooms.

The banking hall would have around eight full-time employees, and five part-time.

Nub News has reached out to Barclays for more information on when the bank will open, and what will happen to their other Stockport site.
