Rockafellas, a new bar in Stockport town centre, will be opening this weekend.

The venue, based on Tiviot Dale, will be hosting a soft opening on Friday 6 March, and a grand opening on Saturday 7th.

The grand opening on Saturday will feature a stint from Jay Thomas, an Ibiza Rocks resident DJ, running from 10pm-3am.

Rockafellas promises to be about 'proper music, proper drinks, and proper nights out'.

At the grand opening, visitors can expect "soul and big house energy from the first track to the last one".

The same goes for the venue generally, which promises to provide "after-work sips & late-night groove, all under one roof".

"Rockafellas is all about late nights, good drinks and a proper '60s feel", a spokesperson said on social media.

"Think low lighting, great music and cocktails done right, no fuss, no gimmicks. It's a place to come in, settle down and stay longer than you meant to.
