New Irish-American sports bar and grill coming to Stockport

A new Irish-American food and drink spot is opening soon in Stockport town centre.
In what promises to be a 'bold new chapter', Bask - just outside Stockport railway station - will be converted to Fitzpatricks, a new bar and grill.
New owner Jon Fitzpatrick explained that visitors can expect a New York-Irish buzz, with sports TVs, live music, and a wide-ranging menu.
Food will be available seven days a week, with options ranging from classic American comfort food, through to healthy post- and pre- gym options - handy for Life Leisure just around the corner.
There will also be a bustling music scene, with jam-packed weekends planned featuring live musicians.
Jon himself is a musician, so visitors can expect a well-curated mix of players, including Irish, American and Country music, plus much more.
As for sports, there will be everything from Stockport County matches through to American NFL games.
An opening date has not yet been released, but you can stay up to date on the Fitzpatricks Facebook page.
This new spot will follow on the success of Fitzpatricks in Wigan, which has proved to be bustling and popular throughout the week.
A statement on social media reads: "After three unforgettable years as Bask, we're thrilled to unveil the next evolution of our venue.
"Welcome to Fitzpatricks — Stockport's newest Irish-American Sports Bar & Grill experience, opening soon."
