Jester Games, a card and board game shop, has announced plans to move to Stockport town centre in just over one week.

The store - already a favourite in Cheadle - will relocate to a bigger site on King Street East, near ASDA.

The owners of Jester Games were 'very excited' to announce the move. In a statement on social media, they said: "We are really excited to run this business together and to provide the absolute best environment for all our players."

As well as stocking and selling a myriad of card and board games, Jester Games also hosts regular events for young and old players alike.

These range from instructional sessions, to casual gaming groups.

The Jester Games founders say of the business: "We have always loved playing board games. Often, friends and family would come to us for advice on any old or upcoming games and whether they were worth a try.

"We had always found that playing board games and card games was a great way for everyone to come together and make some fantastic and fun memories."

Jester Games will host a farewell party at its Cheadle store on 20 October (featuring pizza!). If you would like to attend, you can book a ticket HERE

The new Stockport store will open on 21 October. As far as excuses to get into board games go, they don't get much better than this.
