A talented young specialist from Stockport has been recognised for her achievements in the building industry.

Carly Partington was identified by the Builders' Merchants Federation (BMF) and the Builders' Merchants News as one of the 'top 100 young achievers' nationally.

Carly is a business development manager at Marshalls, based in Stockport.

Speaking of being recognised for this accolade, she said: "I am incredibly proud to receive this nomination and very much looking forward to joining all of the other fantastic nominees to celebrate in May.

"It is a real privilege to be recognised by the BMF for my work within the industry - I have been extremely fortunate over the years to work within fantastic companies, for a number of inspiring leaders and alongside many brilliant colleagues whom have all supported me along the way."

John Newcomb, chief executive of the BMF, said: "The BMF is an active supporter of young people working within the building materials supply sector and this initiative celebrates the contributions of those who will carry the industry forward in the future and work to make a material difference. [...]

"This accolade reflects the positive influence Carly has had on the people around her and on the wider building materials industry."
