A man in his 30s has died after a crash on Buxton Road yesterday (Friday 20 March) which involved several vehicles. 

The incident took place around 3.30pm, close to the junction of the A6 Buxton Road and the A555. 

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services, who were quickly called to the scene. 

Greater Manchester Police has said: "Our thoughts are with his family, who are being supported by specialist officers."

Those others who were involved in the collision are assisting police in their investigation into the incident. 

No arrests have been made. 

Police are now appealing for anybody with information which may help the investigation to come forward.

"If you have any information or dashcam footage of this incident which could assist the investigation, please contact the serious collision investigation unit on 0161 856 4741 quoting incident number 2139-20/03/2026", a spokesperson said.
