The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for Stockport on Friday 14 November.
'Strong' and 'gusty' winds are expected to cause disruption in Stockport and beyond as Storm Claudia batters the British Isles.
The warning is in effect from midday until 23.59pm on Friday 14 November.
The yellow warning means that there is a 'slight' chance of damage to buildings, such as tiles blown from roofs.
There is also a slight chance of power cuts and a 'small' chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris.
The Met Office has also said there is a small chance that some roads or bridges could close, and that there could similarly be cancellations on road, rail and air services nearby.
A spokesperson advised that residents should check for any loose items outside your home and amend travel plans if necessary.
