Man's body discovered near Marple Aqueduct

A man's body has been found near Marple Aqueduct this morning (Wednesday 18 March).
The area is currently closed while Greater Manchester Police attend the scene.
There is a cordon around the area with a police helicopter overhead, Manchester Evening News reports.
The man has not yet been identified, but police are not treating the incident as suspicious.
His next of kin have been informed.
