A man has been charged with a string of offences following an incident at a property in Heald Green on 29 October.

Forty-one-year-old Glen Williams, of no fixed abode, has been charged with: robbery; assault; sexual assault by penetration; and non-fatal strangulation.

These charges come in relation to the Heald Green incident which took place in the early hours of the 29th.

Williams first appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates Court on 31 October.

He was further remanded and will appear at Minshull Street Crown Court on 4 December.

A 47-year-old woman who was also arrested in relation to the investigation has been bailed pending further enquiries.
