A man has been charged after a 'spate' of burglaries in the Stockport area.

35-year-old Josh Buxton of no fixed abode has been charged with five burglary offences, which are suspected to have taken place between February 2025 and April 2025.

He has been remanded into custody, and will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on 30 April 2025.

Announcing the charges, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) stressed their emphasis on tackling crimes like burglary.

A GMP spokesperson said: "Tacking burglary is a force priority for Greater Manchester Police and our officers are determined to bring people to justice and ensure victims feel safe and are supported."

You can report a burglary yourself by calling 101, or visiting the GMP website.
