A man has been charged following a knife incident in Woodley Precinct on Monday 3 March.

Kevin Mortique (37) of Woodstock Crescent is charged with affray and possession of a bladed article.

He was arrested on Monday 3rd at the precinct following reports of a man with a knife.

He will appear at Stockport Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday 5 March).

In a statement on social media, Greater Manchester Police said: "Kevin Mortique (24/3/87), of Woodstock Crescent, Woodley, #Stockport, has been charged with affray and possession of a bladed article, and will appear at Stockport Magistrates' Court today (Wednesday).

"He was arrested after an incident at Woodley Precinct on Monday after reports of a man with a knife."
