Krazy Races is set to return to Stockport in July 2024, following the remarkable success of this year's event.

Once again, racers will take to their soapboxes and speed down from St Peter's Square, past the Plaza building and onto Mersey Square, dodging obstacles and navigating sharp turns along the way.

This year's event in May saw 15,000 spectators and 30 teams of racers. "Due to its success in 2023, Krazy Races [...] has been invited back", the organisers say.

As well as being great fun in and of itself, the event also aims to raise money for charity. Almost £20,000 was raised this year.

Next year's race will take place on 28 July 2024, and residents and local businesses are already being invited to enter the race with their own soapboxes.

Teams are allowed up to five members, including a driver over 18.

Entry prices range from £150 to £250, depending on how applicants wish to enter.

You can find more information and an entry form HERE. Krazy Races points out that unfortunately, due to popular demand, filling in the form will not guarantee a start in next year's race.
