There are only a few days left to nominate your favourite Stockport businesses in an upcoming awards ceremony.

Nominations for the Stockport Business Awards close on 19 June, with winners to be announced in October.

The business awards offer the chance to celebrate your favourites among the thousands of fantastic local businesses here in Stockport.

Hosted every year, the awards aim to "highlight and celebrate business excellence in the region".

Any business, of any sector, size or age, can nominate itself.

After this, a panel of judges produces a shortlist of the best, which is then put to a public vote.

The judges produce the shortlist based on trading performance, business growth, sustainability, and more.

The categories are as follows:

• Business of the Year (Over £10M Turnover)
• Business of the Year (£5M – 10M Turnover)
• Business of the Year (£1M – £5M Turnover)
• Business of the Year (Up to £1M Turnover)
• Employer of the Year
• Most promising Young Business
• Family Business of the Year
• Best not for Profit Organisation
• Best Digital / Creative Award
• The Innovation Award
• The Corporate Social Responsibility
• The Stockport Award
• Hospitality, Leisure & Retail Business of the Year

Once again, entries close on Friday 19 June.

The public vote will take place from July, after which the winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at the Royal Nawaab Pyramid on 8 October.
