Job opportunities and advice available at upcoming council jobs fair
Stockport Council is hosting a jobs fair next month.
The event will showcase jobs available at the council, and you'll also be able to find CV help, further education advice, and general working wisdom.
This free event takes place at Stockport Town Hall on Tuesday 17 September, from 11am-4pm.
Attendees will be able to learn more about roles in a variety of sectors: adults' and children's social care; administration; museums; digital services; highways and transport; and more.
A council spokesperson said: "The event is the perfect opportunity to come and meet representatives from Stockport Council and their partners, to discover what opportunities available, to gain valuable insights into the world of local government and to network with employment professionals."
Cllr Colin MacAlister, cabinet member for economy and regeneration said “This is an exciting time for the whole of Stockport. We’re ambitious, we want to inspire and we want a workforce who have the skills and commitment to help us to drive our economic growth, serve and support of communities and meet the challenges that local government organisations encounter at local, regional and national level.”
