Peter Ralph, founder of locally-based Imagine Events, is stepping down after almost 30 years in business.

The company was founded in 1996, and after stints elsewhere in Manchester, has made its home in Stockport.

Imagine specialises in designing exhibition stands for other businesses - its clients have included Samsung, Vaillant, and Sandals.

The company will now be headed by Peter's two children; Adam Ralph as managing director and Carly Ralph as operations director, in what has been described as "an exciting new chapter for the business".

"After 45 years in the industry, it's the perfect time to hand over the reins to Adam and Carly", Peter said.

"The business is thriving in its new location, and with the next generation's ideas and passion, I'm confident that Imagine Events will continue to go from strength to strength. It's not about me anymore; it's about the future they are going to build for the company and its many committed clients."

In his new capacity as MD, Adam Ralph is looking forward to keeping up customer satisfaction and sustainability.

"Having grown up in this industry, it's a part of who I am," he said.

"As we look ahead, we're not just focused on creating impactful and memorable exhibitions—we're also committed to doing so responsibly. Our goal is to position Imagine Events as a leader in sustainable, low-impact design and production.

"With my sister, Carly by my side as Operations Director and our incredible team behind us, we're ready to push boundaries and set new standards in the exhibition and events industry."

Carly Ralph, has a unique perspective on the family business having undertaken various roles within the agency over the past ten years. She now steps into the role of operations director and says:

"I've watched this company grow from the ground up, and it's a privilege to work alongside Adam in shaping its future. We're building on the solid foundation our dad created, and I'm excited to help lead Imagine Events into its next phase. Our shared vision is to elevate the company, not just in terms of our service offerings but also in how we operate with a focus on sustainability and the well-being of our growing team."
