How Stockport residents can reduce spread of flu this season
Stepping Hill Hospital has urged residents to take care at the height of the flu season.
The hospital has asked residents who may be experiencing possible flu or RSV symptoms to stay at home to avoid spreading the virus to vulnerable people.
Stepping Hill has advised those who are eligible for the free flu jab to get vaccinated as soon as possible.
Patients attending the hospital have been asked to consider wearing masks, covering their noses and mouths with tissues when sneezing, disposing the waste in a bin, in addition to washing their hands regularly with soap and water.
Hospital visitors have also been asked to use the infection control handwash which is available outside each ward.
