Bee Network: Here’s every Stockport bus route affected by Andy Burnham’s TfGM scheme
Andy Burnham placed every Greater Manchester bus under the control of Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) on Monday.
This means 28 bus routes which run through Stockport have seen changes which TfGM says will make travel 'easier and cheaper', as part of the third and final phase of the rollout.
One change is that single bus fares now also count as 'hopper' tickets - which allow you to hop on any Bee Network bus within one hour of purchasing the ticket.
The cost of some unlimited travel tickets has also been reduced.
Seven-day bus tickets will cost £20 for adults and £10 for children (£21 and £10.50 respectively before the changes).
28-day bus tickets will also be cheaper - costing £80 for adults and £40 for children (compared to £84 and £42.70 before).
Finally, TfGM have introduced a new adult Annual Bee Bus ticket, which allows unlimited travel on Bee Network buses for £800, or £2.19 a day.
Passengers can buy up front online, on the app, or at a ticket office, or spread the cost weekly or monthly through participating credit unions.
Cllr Mark Hunter, Leader of Stockport Council, said: "Our new Interchange is a real jewel in our ongoing £1 billion transformation of our town centre, and the Bee Network's new services will hopefully help to connect our communities across the borough."
