Stockport residents will be able to indulge in some vintage romanticism for this year's Valentine's Day, as a steam train calls at Stockport station.
On Saturday 14 February, The Valentine's Stratford Flyer will steam from Manchester Victoria, through Stockport, Macclesfield and Stoke, and onto Stratford-upon-Avon.
Pulled by a locomotive from the Carnforth Steam Pool, it will give passengers and spectators alike the chance to relive some historic glamour a la Brief Encounter.
The train sets off from Manchester Victoria at 7.30am, arriving at Stockport around 8.45am.
It will then head on to Macclesfield, picking up passengers there at 9am.
The train will then pass through Stoke and Stafford (although it won't pick any passengers up here), before leaving the Trent Valley line for the Birmingham route via Wolverhampton.

Industrial heartlands will give way to verdant Warwickshire countryside as the train wends its way to Stratford, arriving around 12.50.
The Railway Touring Company, which is managing the tour, said: "There will be ample time in the town to take in all the famous sights [...]
"The town offers many interesting shops and is well provided for with pubs and restaurants. All in all, a very pleasant place to spend an afternoon."
Passengers will be given the chance to look around the historic birthplace of Shakespeare, before the train departs for the return journey at 12.50pm.
It will be back in Macclesfield by 8pm, and in Stockport by 8.45pm.
It finishes up inn Manchester Victoria at 9.40pm.
Tickets start at £115 for an adult in standard class.
Premier class tickets, which include a full English breakfast and four-course dinner, start from £329 for adults.
