It's looking to be a busy festival season for Stockport!

Another fixture in the packed summer calendar this year is Firevolt, which returns to Etherow Country Park from Thursday 8th to Sunday 12th August.

This 'boutique' rock festival is not in its third year, and has hosted the likes of Royal Republic, Cardinal Black and more.

This year, headliners include Vandenberg, Phil Campbell & BS, Gun, plus many more acts throughout the weekend.

The festival represents all that makes the rock and metal scene great - cathartic headbanging riffs and top musicianship, combined with warmth, and friendliness.

Indeed, as the Firevolt organisers state: "The festival has quickly grown its reputation for being one of the friendliest on the circuit."

The festival has two stages with no clashes, embracing the spirit of both established rockers and new talent ripping up the scene.

And, further still, throughout the weekend there will be a wide range of food vendors and retail traders, plus a huge bar serving a variety of draughts and spirits.

There are also 'proper' loos and showers, plus camping and glamping options for those looking to stay on site throughout the weekend.

The standard weekend ticket costs £135, and this price also includes camping space.

A further range of tickets are available via the Firevolt website, with discounts for under 14s, as well as 'long weekender' tickets.
