A festive steam train will be calling at Stockport railway station this December.
The Worcester Christmas Express will be steaming through Stockport station on Saturday 13 December, picking up passengers at 8am and returning by 9pm.
The train will depart Manchester Victoria around 7.30am, passing through Heaton Chapel (but not stopping), over the viaduct and onto Stockport. It will leave the Crewe line at Cheadle Hulme, and will proceed through Macclesfield and Stoke and ultimately onto Worcester.
Although there will be plenty of places to see the steam locomotive throughout the morning, it will only be stopping to pick up passengers at Manchester Victoria, Stockport and Worcester.
Tickets start at £115 per adult in standard class.

To add a bit of Christmas magic, Santa and his elves will be on the train handing out presents to all children on board.
The train will arrive in Worcester Shrub Hill at 12.45, giving passengers the chance to explore this charming medieval market town.
At Christmas time Worcester boasts a vibrant and bustling festive market, overlooked by the stunning 12th-century cathedral.
The train will be leaving Worcester at 4.15, taking the scenic route back to the North West.
