A festive steam train which was due to call at Stockport railway station this December has been cancelled.

The Worcester Christmas Express was set to steam through Stockport station on Saturday 13 December, picking up passengers at 8am, heading to Worcester, and then returning by 9pm.

However, according to the Railway Herald, this tour has since been cancelled.

The Railway Touring Company, which was organising the tour, confirmed the closure in November.
