The death of a 33-year-old man in Heald Green is not being treated as suspicious, police have said following an investigation.

Officers from Greater Manchester Police (GMP) were called to Branfield Avenue Heald Green around 1.20pm on Sunday 16 February.

Police were called to the scene in response to a 'concern for welfare'. However, despite the best efforts of emergency services, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A GMP spokesperson said: "We were called at around 1.20pm (February 16, 2025) to reports of the concern for the welfare of a man on Branfield Avenue in Cheadle.

"Officers attended and despite the best efforts of emergency services, a 33-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead. His family are currently being supported by officers."
