Are you feeling particularly festive yet?

Perhaps not - the leaves are still on the trees and the days are still long.

However, as of today (16 September), there are only 100 days to go until Christmas.

With that in mind, keen planners may be interested to know that a date has been confirmed for the Bramhall Christmas lights switch-on, and it's Sunday 1 December.

A key fixture in Bramhall's calendar, the switch-on features live music and performances, markets, food and drink, and more.

This year will be no exception, with a top range of bands, community groups, choirs and more set to perform.

Further still, there will be an artisan market, showcasing unique crafts and gifts, perfect for holiday shopping.

And you'll be relieved to hear that Santa has set aside some time in his busy schedule to call at Village Square, too. His grotto will be open throughout the day.
