Aladdin | Stockport Plaza | Fri 2 - Sun 4 January 2026

A description for this event reads: "Take a magical carpet ride to the North West's home of sensational Pantomime entertainment for our glittering production of Aladdin.
"Starring Brian Capron - star of Coronation Street and many TV and stage presentations - who makes a welcome return as the really evil Abanazar in our affordable family festive extravaganza, alongside Karim Zeroual, who is best known for anchoring CBBC as a presenter for eight years and reaching the final of Strictly Come Dancing in 2019 who will be appearing as Aladdin.
"Plus a full supporting cast including the much-loved Scott Gallagher who returns as Wishee Washee."

Live music and jams | The Spinning Top | Fri 2 - Sun 4 January

The Spinning Top is hosting some top music nights this weekend.
On Friday, you'll find music from The Local, Paul McGladdery, Lakshmi, and Dimestore Dirtbags. The event starts at 7.45pm, with free entry!
Saturday, meanwhile, will see a pop punk tribute night from Blink 282 / Warped, who will be playing songs from the likes of Blink 182, Green Day, Fallout Boy, Offspring, and more. Tickets are £6 in advance or £10 at the door.
And on Sunday, the Jelly Roll Blues Jam will run from 4-7pm, with free entry for all. Musicians of all abilities are welcome!
Factory floor tour | Stockport Hat Museum | Sat 3 January | 2pm

Start the new year with a family museum trip this weekend.
A description for this event reads: "Journey through Stockport's hatting history on our guided tour of the Factory Floor. Discover Wellington Mill's roots in cotton manufacture, the grizzly side of how hats are made and why Stockport was the centre of the global hat trade.
"Most suited to adults and young people aged 8 and up."
