Claire's Accessories in Stockport town centre closes down

Claire's Accessories in Stockport town centre has closed.
The shop, based in Merseyway shopping centre, hosted a closing down sale before it shut its doors for the last time on Saturday 18 April.
It comes as the fashion chain entered administration for a second time on 26 January, following poor trading over Christmas and a 'change in habits' of its predominantly teenage consumer base.
This is only a few months after the first set of administrators from Modella were appointed to save the chain in September 2025.
Modella subsequently placed the chain into insolvency early in January this year.
Since then, administrators have been appointed from Kroll, Sky News reports.
The administration decision has put around 1,000 high street jobs at risk.
