As the festive season gets started, Stockport residents can look forward to a myriad of events across the borough.

One of these is Stockport Town Hall's Christmas Market, taking place on Thursday 7 December from 2-7pm.

This 'festive fayre' will include a wide range of stalls, showcasing the best of the borough's local trading scene. Visitors can find food, crafts, gifts, and more. Further still, visitors can look forward to a raffle and some festive music.

Fancy hosting a stall yourself? Contact Stockport Events on 0161 474 3451, or email [email protected].

For those looking for a different kind of Christmas sparkle, there will also be a number of Christmas parties taking place at the town hall, on the 1st, 2nd, 8th, 9th and 15th of December.

Visitors are invited to enjoy a three-course meal, live music, and, naturally, some Christmas crackers and party poppers - sure to be a perfect piece of festive glamour for family, friends, or colleagues.

Tickets for these parties are £42.50 per person - each night begins at 7pm.
