Cheadle Hulme will be hosting its very own Comic-Con event this summer, in what promises to be a fun-packed event for sci-fi and comic fans young and old.

The event is taking place on Saturday 13 June in Cheadle Hulme shopping centre.

Expect a range of amazing characters from the likes of Star Wars, Doctor Who, Marvel, and much more.

And it's not just a chance to see some of your favourite characters 'in the flesh' - visitors are encouraged to dress up and come in their favourite costumes for the event.

There will also be a trader market purveying gifts, collectibles, and more.

Although the Comic-Con will be centred around the precinct, there will also be activity throughout the village with stormtroopers, Spiderman, Transformers and Daleks at various venues taking part in activities supported by local businesses.

And, further still, there's free parking for up to three hours, and free face-painting.
