SDR Cheshire, a rehabilitation centre which assists children and adults with mobility issues and Cerebral Palsy, was burgled this week, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) has just announced.

The burglary took place sometime between 5pm on Sunday 4 June and 12pm on Tuesday 6 June, with electronic and rehabilitation equipment being stolen.

In a post on social media, SDR Cheshire described opening the doors to "chaos and carnage".

The business is located in Cheadle Heath, on the Mackenzie Industrial Estate off Bird Hall Lane. Police are appealing for any information.

SDR Cheshire added: "It's a kick we didn't need in today's extortionate era, but we will do everything possible to keep moving forward as always."

PC Aleisha Young of GMP Stockport's district said: "Burglary is an intrusive crime which has absolutely no place in our society.

"I recognise the impact this event can have on the rehabilitation care SDR Cheshire provides, which helps some of the most vulnerable in our society.

"GMP wants to find those responsible. No matter how small you think the information may be, it could prove vital to the investigation and identify the suspects. Please get in touch."

You can report information by calling 101, online via the GMP website or via email to [email protected], quoting log 1328-07022023.

Alternatively, you can report information to the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
