Carrington Road closed following sinkhole appearance

Carrington Road is closed in both directions today (Thursday 20 November) after a sinkhole appeared in the road.

Crews are currently on-site carrying out repairs.

An update on Google Maps says the road will be closed until Wednesday 26 November.

Traffic website one.network similarly states that the work will last until that date.

one.network said the works were "utility repair and maintenance works" being carried out by United Utilities.
