By Alasdair Perry 8th Jun 2023

22 units in the redeveloped Elisabeth Gardens are currently up for sale with a £3.4 million price tag.

The units included comprise 16x one-bed apartments, 1x one-bed mews house, 1x two-bed duplex apartment, 2x two-bed townhouses with office space, and 2x three-bed townhouses

A description from marketer NPP Residential runs: "We have a rare and exclusive opportunity for a bulk purchase of 22 residential units within the extremely popular Elisabeth Gardens development in Reddish, Stockport.

"All of these units are currently tenanted and achieving a total of £199,380 per year in rental income.

"All of these tenancies are managed by NPP Residential, providing a lucrative opportunity for buy-to-let investors seeking a hassle-free experience and steady rate of income."

The Elisabeth Gardens development project was completed in 2020, turning a derelict mill into a highly desirable residential environment.

Elisabeth Mill was commissioned between 1870 and 1874 by owner and philanthropist Sir William Henry Houldsworth (many Reddish landmarks continue to bear his name). It remained in operation until 2003, after which it became a hotspot for arson and anti-social behaviour.

The mill was spared demolition when it was acquired by De Trafford real estate property developers, and turned into a residential area with over 200 homes, a mixture of mill apartments and neighbouring houses.

Now 22 units in this area are for sale, providing, as NPP Residential state, a "lucrative opportunity for buy-to-let investors".
