Blossoms will be hosting an album signing at Stockport town centre's HMV store next month.

The local indie quintet will be in-store from 4.30pm on Wednesday 7 October.

The signing will be ticketed, with sales opening from 1pm today (Friday 25 September).

The band will be celebrating the release of their new album Songs from the Wedding Cake, which comes out on 2 October.

The record derives its name from the local nickname for the Stockport's Victorian town hall - 'The Wedding Cake' - where frontman Tom Ogden got married.

It will be the sixth studio album from the home-grown group.

The record was in the headlines recently following the release of the single 'Additional Driver' - the music video for which was filmed on the 192 bus between Manchester and Stockport.
