Stockport's very own Blossoms are tipped for a support slot on Oasis' much anticipated reunion tour.

Rolling Stone magazine has described the indie band as a 'strong contender' for a support slot.

Blossoms themselves seemed to hint at some involvement in the upcoming tour, after dropping some teasers at their Wythenshawe Park gig on Sunday 25 August.

After closing their set, a short video hinting at the Oasis tour played on stage - the band even sang the Oasis song Half the World Away during their performance.

And sure enough, on Tuesday 27 August, Oasis announced their 2025 reunion tour.

In a statement on social media, the band said: "The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."

Oasis will play a string of gigs in Manchester, Dublin, Edinburgh, London, and Cardiff.

The venue in Manchester is Heaton Park - Oasis will play on 25, 26 July, 2, 3 August.

Let's hope that Blossoms can bring a piece of Stockport to the proceedings!

Tickets for Oasis' 2025 tour will go on sale on 31 August, on ticketmaster.co.ukgigsandtours.com, and seetickets.com
