Illingworth Ingham Portwood - a local timber yard - has announced its opening hours for Easter.

It comes as the firm prepares for a detailed stock take, ready to cater for customers' projects over the long weekend and beyond.

The Easter opening times for the local branch, based off Carrington Road in Portwood, are as follows:

• Thursday 28th March: 7.30am-10am
• Good Friday 29th March: closed
• Saturday 30th March: 8am-12.30om
• Easter Sunday 31st March: closed
• Monday 1st April: closed

As well as Portwood, Illingworth Ingham has other timber yards across the North West.

The company prides itself on the quality of its timber, which comes from forests across the world, some as far afield as Scandinavia, the Far East, and more.

It also operates with the professionalism and standards of a multi-branch business whilst retaining a distinct local and independent feel at each of its sites.

As Portwood branch manager Tony Davies explains: "We trade a little bit differently. In some merchants, it's one in and one out - here, we go the extra mile to look after people and offer a good service delivery-wise. We care about the customers."
